Turners Falls Habitat homeowner sought! We are looking for a family for the second Turners Falls home. Information Session will be Sunday, January 6th at 3pm at the First Baptist Church, Federal Street, Greenfield. APPLICATIONS DUE January 14th. For more info see www.pioneervalleyhabitat.org
If you don't have time to come out for the weekend, volunteer to do something else for us! We could use folks to help on a broad range of work in public relations, fundraising, volunteer coordination, family support or to take on a specific task. We are looking for someone to on occasional Tuesdays organize and straighten up the storage sheds at the Amherst site and keep the our Amherst storage site tidy. Also looking for someone who could do the monthly volunteer update in coordination with our very part time volunteer coordinator. We are also looking for a volunteer or two who can work with us to strenghten our connections to churches, congregations and faith communities here in the Valley. Yes, it may be sunny -but also cold out there. Our 24 Stanley Street home is nearly complete. We have started framing up 18 Stanley Street. Up at Turners Falls, 55 L Street was completed at the end of the summer and Connie Forcier and her family moved in. We are now well underway with 53 L Street (it's twin next door). We have plans to start on our new site in Florence in 2008.

55 L Street, Turners Falls-House was done at the end of summer.
53 L Street , Turners Falls -Same house being built next door. Franklin County Tech students are working Monday-Fridays - and this fall we had volunteer weekend workparties. We are taking a short break from the weekend workparties thru early February (students will keep on working thru the winter). Keep an ear to 93.9 FM/WRSI, The River as they start weekly construction updates in January. We are still looking for a family for this home (see above.)
