"West County Churches" (WCC) is a task force of organizations from towns in the Western reaches of Franklin County, gathered for the purpose of organizing ourselves in our efforts to help Pioneer Valley Habitat for Humanity. It is our hope that by working together we create a more sustainable and effective volunteer working group. Although churches currently comprise the WCCs task force, any organization or individual interested is more than welcome to join us or participate in any of our efforts. We work on Habitat homes in Franklin County, and aim to schedule monthly Habitat Build dates. We organize Habitat volunteer orientations locally and conduct fundraising events to build Habitat homes. Please call one of the contact personal listed below for more information.
The purposes of the West County Churches Habitat for Humanity Task Force include:
- creating ecumenical labor force teams for local Habitat projects
- promoting Habitat For Humanity within our congregations
- providing a focal point for Habitat efforts in West County dissemination of information on Habitat for Humanity among our churches, and
- maintaining communications within the West County Churches Habitat task force.
The West County Churches Task Force current representatives/contact persons include the following. Any organization is welcome to participate with us on this task force. Please contact any of these persons with your WCC questions:
